At the moment, three definites and one highly probable:
1. Kinkaid Chronicle #4, Graceland, April 2011
2. Kinkaid Chronicle #5, Book of Days, September 2011
3. Short story reprint (unless I decide to write a new one) in anthology of short music-related fiction (Tales from the House Band), with a stellar lineup of writers.
4. Crossover short story with Charles Shaar Murray, “Ghost in the Machine”, as a freebie for Kinkaid fans. This will probably be timed for late summer, to mesh with the release of Charles’ first novel, The Hellhound Sample (he’s got his own ageing rocker, Mick Hudson, but his has a supernatural twist running through it – be careful about that guitar that’s been down to the crossroads, baybee!). We’ve fallen madly in love with each other’s universes and characters, and we’re co-writing a supernatural crossover starring both casts and the history of one haunted Telecaster.
